ABOUT

Our Mission
Dance Embodiment began in 2022 to address a gap in how children were learning to understand and connect with their bodies. We believe dance technique can be taught alongside mindfulness, offering a holistic approach to movement and self-awareness. While we currently hold classes at the Keller Pointe Recreation Center, once we've outgrown the space or built a strong enough clientele, we plan to transition into a permanent studio in Keller to expand our offerings.

Founder & Artistic Director

Nicole earned her BA in Dance from Brigham Young University, performing with the Theater Ballet Tour Company. She launched her professional career as a dancer and choreographer with Kinuko Modern Dance Company and danced for Mountain West Ballet and the Utah Opera.

After relocating to Texas, Nicole became a faculty member at Texas Ballet Theater School in Dallas and later served as a guest choreographer at Richland College.

With over 15 years of experience as a judge, choreographer, and teacher, Nicole remains dedicated to guiding dancers toward a deeper connection with their bodies, encouraging them to feel technique from within and embrace movement as a path to self-awareness.

"Traditionally, dance has been taught by encouraging dancers to view their bodies from the outside in, focusing on outward appearance. This external focus can lead to objectifying the body and losing connection to our own humanity. I want to teach students to recognize proper technique based on how it feels, allowing them to interpret this input and embody the movement fully." -Nicole

Mission
At Dance Embodiment, we teach proper technique while nurturing self-awareness, helping students connect with their minds and bodies.
